GROWTH POINTS WITH DR. MC

REMODEL YOUR CHURCH

On Your Mark — How do you lead your church to adopt a new model of ministry? Take the time to consider the following questions before you stir up church leaders and members of the congregation with dreams of a new future.

Get Set — Here are nine questions to ask and answer before starting to remodel your church’s ministry.

  1. What is your church’s purpose?

  2. Is your church accomplishing it’s purpose?

  3. Who are you trying to reach?

  4. How effective are you at reaching them?

  5. What new model would make your church more fruitful?

  6. Are there people who will support this change?

  7. Have you been at the church long enough to lead it into a new ministry model?

  8. Are you willing to finish the job?

  9. Is your church worth changing?

Grow — Leading a church toward a new model of ministry requires more than a tweaking of the programs, by-laws, or worship service. Take your church culture seriously, stimulate a passion for change, move slower than you want, and reward the decision to change.
